ABSTRACT THE COMPARISON BETWEEN READING ALOUD STRATEGY AND REPEATED READING STRATEGY IN ENHANCING STUDENTS’ READING COMPREHENSION Briyanna Ann Michael 1521016 The aim of this study is to find out the improvement of students’ reading comprehension through Repeated Reading and Reading Aloud. They were divided into two classes one class is using Repeated Reading strategy and the other class using Reading Aloud strategy. This study was designed to find out the answer of the following question: Is there any significant difference in students’ reading comprehension improvement between those who are taught using Repeated Reading and those who are taught using Reading Aloud strategies? To reach the aim of this research, these studies used quantitative research method and comparative design by using pre-test and post-test. The instrument used for this study is reading comprehension test, which contained 33 questions and apply it in SMPN 1 Parongpong. The result of this study is Repeated Reading strategy got higher score than Reading Aloud strategy. Keyword: Reading Comparison, Repeated Reading, Reading Aloud
