ABSTRACT THE APPLICATION OF LEARNING MODEL MMP (MISSOURI MATHEMATICS PROJECT) AND CORE (CONNECTING, ORGANIZING, REFLECTING, EXTENDING) TO IMPROVE THE STUDENTS’ MATHEMATICAL PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY ON SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL Yuliana Ribka Sari 1322005 This is a quantitative research which aims to find out students ability in solving Math problem, to know whether there is significant difference between students who were taught using MMP (Missouri Mathematics Project) and those who were taught using CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending), and to find out students’ response towards two Mathematics Learning models. The samples used were two groups from SMA Advent Bandung. Group 1 was given the MMP (Missouri Mathematics Project) learning model. Group 2 was given the CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending) learning model. The result showed that: (1) The problem solving ability on the students who obtain lessons learned with a model MMP (Missouri Mathematics Project) and CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending) has been enhanced, (2) There is a significant difference in the enhancement of students’ problem solving ability between students who are taught using MMP (Missouri Mathematics Project) and students who are taught using CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending), (3) These two Mathematics Learning model are delighted by both of group.
