THE EFFECT OF ORAL PRESENTATION TO THE SPEAKING IMPROVEMENT OF BUSINESS STUDENTS TAKING ENGLISH II SECTION A AT UNIVERSITAS ADVENT INDONESIA

ABSTRACT The titfe of this paper is, "The effect of oraf presentation to the speaking improvement of Business students taking English II section A at Universitas Advent Indonesia". The method used in this study in order to answer the question under the study is a case study. The purpose of this study is to find out ABSTRACT whether there is a signrficant effect of using oral presentation to improve the speaking ski11. In the fact, some aspects influence the the score of Pre-test and Post-test, which is students' speaking improvement such as the opportunity to speak and the knowledge about the need of English in their future. In this study the opportunity to speak gj-ven through oral presentation to see whether this aspect give a significant effect to the speaking improvement. The resuft was shown through analyzed using the T-test in SPSS. The results show that the respondents' speaking skiff is improved through the oral presentation and the score gained by the respondents show there is a significant effect of oral presentation where the tcounred : 1.501 ) ttalre 2.731 wj-th significance Ievel in 0.05 and the degree freedom (df N-1) 1s 19.
