PEER-ASSISTED METHOD AND READING COMPREHENSION DEVELOPMENT AMONG SOPHOMORE NURSING STUDENT

ABSTRACT This study examines the efiectiveness of Pcer-Assisted Leaming (PAL) for students enrolled in Nursing Department rvho rrere taking English II class. at [Jniversitas Advent Indonesia. Bandung. This study seek to find r.vhether Peer-Assisted rcading strategic help student increase their achievement in reading comprehension. 'Ihe strateg)' found to be eflbctiveness enhancing reading comprehension. and basically it rvas proved by the data gathered. The calculated data showed the mean of pre-lest is 20.7. standard deviation is 6.5 also the mean of post-test is 23.9 and standard dcviation is 6.7. then t-counted is + I .63 and the t-table is +2.07. The level of con fidencc ol thc rcsearch is 0.1 05. then standard error mean ofpre-test is 1.3-3850 and post-test is 1.i6906.
