PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN KONEKSI MATEMATIS SISWA MENGGUNAKAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE LEARNING CYCLE 5E DENGAN PENDEKATAN OPEN-ENDED

ABSTRACT IMPROVEMENT THE ABILITY OF MATHEMATICAL CONNECTIONS STUDENTS USING COOPERATIVE LEARNING MODEL TYPE LEARNING CYCLE 5E APPROACH OPEN-ENDED (Quasi Experimental Study On Grade VII SMP 3 Parongpong, Bandung Barat) Ika Christina Limbong 1422021 This research aims to know is there is a growing among students who obtain a model cooperative Learning Cycle 5E type approach to Open-Ended and the students that obtain the conventional learning. It’s implementation using a kind of quasi experiment design with nonequivalent control group design. The subject of the research is grade VII-B class (31 students) experiments and VII-C (31 students) of the control class. Study on the class wants to use cooperative learning model of the Learning Cycle 5E type with Open-Ended approach, whereas in Conventional learning menggunkaan control class. The instruments used are a test of the ability of mathematical connections in the form of test descriptions and student response now. Statistical tests used are two different test average t-test with a 0,05 significant level. The results of this research are; (1) the ability of the early mathematical connections both classes before treatment is given in the category of low and after being given the treatment of these two classes increased the ability of mathematical connections students who obtain a cooperative learning model type 5E Learning Cycle with Open-Ended approaches included in this category are, (2) there is a significant difference between students who get the treatment models of cooperative learning, Learning Cycle 5E type with Open-Ended approaches and learning Conventional. (3) Student response towards the learning model cooperative Learning Cycle 5E type with Open-Ended approach in categories is "very like".
