MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIS SISWA SMP MENGGUNAKAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE COOPERATIVE INTEGRATED READING and COMPOSITION dan ING NGARSA SUNG TULADHA
XMLABSTRACT IMPROVING THE MATHEMATICAL COMMUNICATION ABILITY OF JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS USING COOPERATIVE INTEGRATED READING AND COMPOSITION and ING NGARSA SUNG TULADHA COOPERATIVE LEARNING MODEL NAMA: LILIS APRILIANI SIBURIAN NIM: 1522013 Mathematics communication is one of the important ability in mathematics learning. This study is a comparative study aimed to find whether the mathematical communication improvement of students who are taught using Ing Ngarsa Sung Tuladha cooperative learning model is significantly higher than students who are taught using Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition learning. The sample are seventh grade students from two classes in SMPN 5, Lembang, West Bandung. Students from two classes VII-D were taught using Cooperative Integrated Reading and Compostion learning, while students from classes VII-B were taught using Ing Ngarsa Sung Tuladha cooperative learning model. The result show that the students mathematical communication improvement in both classes categorized as moderate. Statistically, the mathematical communication improvement of students who are taught using Ing Ngarsa Sung Tuladha cooperative learning model is significantly higher than students who are taught using Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition learning. Morefurther, the students response fowards both learning models categarized as “like”. In other word, sudents like the learning they have experienced, using Ing Ngarsa Sung Tuladha cooperative learning model or Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition learning.
