ABSTRACT COMPARATIVE STUDY TO IMPROVE STUDENT’S MATHEMATICAL REPRESENTATION ABILITY COOPERTIFE MODEL THROUGH ING NGARSA SUNG TULADHA AND TEAMS GAMES TOURNAMENT (TGT) LEARNING Kristina 1522004 The purpose of this study is to improve the mathematical representation ability of senior high school students. This research use of Ing Ngarsa Sung Tuladha and Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning. This research utilized two classes namely class X IPS-4 and class X IPS-5 SMA Negeri 1 Parongpong, Bandung Barat. The test instrument is a test of mathematical representation ability on the subject of the trigonometry. A non-test instrument is a questionnaire of student responses to know their preferences to mathematical and learning given. This study uses statistical test to know whether the data is normal, homogenous and significance. The test used is t-test at significant level (α= 0,05). Research result shows that: 1) Mathematical representation ability students before Ing Ngarsa Sung Tuladha and Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning is no difference and at a low category. Improvement on mathematical representation of students who acquire Ing Ngarsa Sung Tuladha and Teams Games Tournament (TGT) increase in moderate category, 2) There is significant difference in the improvement on student’s mathematical representation ability between students who acquire Ing Ngarsa Sung Tuladha and Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning. 3) Student’s response shows Ing Ngarsa Sung Tuladha and Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model feel on “like” category which means bonth learning model suit their learning stole.
