PENDEKATAN PEMBELAJARAN CONTEXTUAL TEACHING AND LEARNING ( CTL) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIS SISWA SMP
XMLABSTRACT LEARNING APPROACH TO CONTEXTUAL TEACHING AND LEARNING (CTL) TO IMPROVE THE STUDENTS OF MATHEMATICAL COMMUNICATION STUDENTS (Study Experiments in Class VII Cimahi 10th Middle School) Risna Br Manik NIM: 1522003 This study aims to improve the mathematical communication skills of junior high school students. Research using Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL) learning and Conventional learning. This study uses two classes, namely class VII-J, the number of students is 33 students and VII-F the number of students is 35 students in Cimahi 10 Public High School which consists of 2 classes namely the experimental and control classes. Data collection was done with a mathematical communication ability test instrument on the subject of social arithmetic. Non-test instruments are questionnaires for students' responses to find out their preferences for mathematics and the learning given. Homogeneity test uses a t-test at the significance level, because the two populations are not normally distributed. The results of the study indicate that: 1) Students' mathematical communication skills before acquiring Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL) learning and Conventional learning are not different and are in the low category. After treatment mathematical communication skills have increased. Increased mathematical communication skills of students who get the Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL) learning model and Conventional learning increase in the medium category 2) There is no significant difference in the improvement of mathematical communication skills between students who get Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL) and students who obtain conventional learning, 3) student responses show students like learning Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) and with conventional learning.
