ABSTRAK SYNTHESIS OF CALCIUM GLYCEROXIDE FROM EGGSHELL AS CATALYST OF BIODIESEL Hennida Hasibuan NIM 1241003 Biodiesel is an oil fuel derived from vegetable oils and animal fats, which have lower pollution levels than diesel. One of the catalyst materials used in the manufacture of biodiesel is eggshell. The eggshell contains calcium in addition to the shell's shell. Egg shell was first processed into powder then weighed as much as 3 variations of 20gr, 30gr, 40gr, to be calcium acetate and, and calcium diglyceroxide as biodiesel manufacture then tested by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Energy Dispersive X-Ray (EDX) And Statistics, from the results of calcium acetate and calcium diglyceroxide testing based on egg shells there is a high amount of calcium and is efficiently used as a catalyst.
