EFFECTIVENESS OF USING INTERACTIVE WORD WALL TOWARDS STUDENTS’ VOCABULARY ENHANCEMENT

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to find effectiveness of using interactive word wall towards students’ vocabulary enhancement. This study used quantitative research method and experimental design .The sample of the study were the students of SMPN 1 Parongpong, Bandung in academic year 2013/2014. There were two classes in seventh grade which were divided into the experimental group and controlled group with a total of students 78. Pre test, treatment and post test were done based on the schedule. The experimental group was given treatment through the interactive word wall method, while controlled group was given conventional method. Based on the result of the data there is significant difference in students’ vocabulary enhancement between those who were taught using interactive word wall and those were taught conventional method. From this data the writer concludes that the use of interactive word wall method can enhance students’ vocabulary.
