IMPROVING SMP STUDENTS’ VOCABULARY ENHANCEMENT TROUGH ROLE PLAYS TECHNIQUE
XMLABSTRACT “IMPROVING SMP STUDENTS’ VOCABULARY ENHANCEMENT THROUGH ROLE PLAYS TECHNIQUE” Retno Frederick Tampubolon ID: 1121010 The purpose of this study was to identify the effectiveness of Role-Play technique in improving students’ Vocabulary enhancement. This study used quantitative research and experimental design. The participants of this study were 68 students grade VIII of SMPN 3 Cisarua, Bandung Barat. They were divided into two groups that is VIII B as control group and VIII A as experimental group. These two groups took the same pre-test. The experimental group used Role-Play technique and the control group used conventional method. And at the end of the treatment both of group took the same post-test. Based on the analysis, it is conclude that there is a significant difference of students’ vocabulary enhancement between those who were taught through Role Play technique and those who were taught through conventional method. From this research, the researcher concludes that the use of Role Play can enhance student’s vocabulary. Keyword: Role-Play, Vocabulary
