THE EFFECTIVENESS OF USING TEAM ASSISTED INDIVIDUALIZATIONMODEL TO ENHANCE STUDENTS’ READING COMPREHENSION IN ELEVENTH GRADE STUDENTS

Abstract This study was aimed to identify the Effectiveness of Team Assisted Individualization to enhance students’ Reading Comprehension. This research used quantitative research method and experimental design: pre-test, treatment (giving reading text) for experimental group and the last post-test. This study was conducted to the eleventh grade of the students SMAN 1 Lembang, Bandung, in Academic year of 2014/2015. The samples of this research were the eleventh grade IPA2 class as the experimental class with 39 student and the eleventh grade IPA4 as the control class with 39 students in each class. The research was held on January 10th 2015 – March 13th 2015. The data was collected through pre-test and post-test with the form multiple-choice tests and. Therefore, the result of this study concluded that there is a significant difference in students reading comprehension between those who were taught Team Assisted Individualization model and those who were taught by using conventional method.
