ABSTRACT COMPARATIVE STUDY ON THE STUDENTS’ MATHEMATICAL CONNECTION ABILITY IMPROVEMENT THROUGH COOPERATIVE LEARNING TYPE NUMBERED HEAD TOGETHER (NHT) AND ARTICULATION Filansya Wendy NIM: 1222012 The aim of this research is to see the difference in the students' mathematical connection ability improvement through cooperative learning model types Numbered Head Together (NHT) and ARTICULATION type. This research use the comparative design. The population were 8th grade students of SMP Perguruan Advent Cimindi and of SMPN 1 Parongpong. Data processing was conducted using SPSS 16.0 by the parametric statistics, with 5% significance level. The results of research shows that there are a difference in the students' mathematical connection improvement through cooperative learning model types Numbered Head Together (NHT) and of ARTICULATION. As the response, the students were really like the cooperative learning model types Numbered Head Together (NHT) and the students like the ARTICULATION type.
