MENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN PENALARAN MATEMATIS SISWA SMP MELALUI MODEL PROBLEM BASED LEARNING DAN EXAMPLE NON EXAMPLE

ABSTRACT INCREASE THE ABILITY OF MATHEMATICAL REASONIING OF JUNIOR HIGT SCOOL STUDENTS BY USING PROBLEM BASED LEARNING AND EXAMPLE NON EXAMPLE The ability of mathematical reasoning is one of the mathematical ability that must be enhanced by students. The purpose of this research is to see how the students raising of mathematical reasoning ability by the implementation of Problem Based Learning and the Example Non Example learning model. The research design is casual comperative. The instruments of this rescarch are the students mathematical reasoning ablility test and the students questionnaire respose. The sample of this recearch is by to classes of VII grade students at SMPN 3 Parongpong. The result of research are: 1) The students mathematical reasoning abilities before acquiring Problem Based Learning and the Example Non Example learning is still low. Improving students mathematical reasoning abilities after learning is in the high category; 2) there ware the significant deferent by the raising ability of mathematical reasoning between the students who got Problem Based Learniing and the students who got Example Non Example learning; 3) The students response to mathematic learning by using Problem Based Learning and Example Non Example there were categorized “Really like”.
